Heaven of Maharastra
01 June 2015
When we talk about beaches in India, the only name that pops up to our mind is Goa. Well, I would like to introduce you to an unexplored white sand and pitch blue water beach in the Ratnagiri district of Maharastra - Ganpatiphule. This place also has religious significance as one of the eight Ashtavinayak Ganesh temples finds its home in Ganpatiphule. It is a true break from a busy city life for someone who wants to re-connect with themselves and nature.
We stayed at the Blue Ocean resort, which is set up with only 20 odd villas and their property expands on the other side of the road leading you to the beach.
The resort is inspired from Thai and Balinese culture and is done up very tastefully.
The cabanas set up by the beach are the best place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends, the sun sets in beautiful shades of orange in front of your eyes.
The beach is rid of any vendors and thus makes it extremely blissful to spend hours on the beach and hear the sound of waves in the crystal clear water. The water in the beach is so clean, you can literally see your feet even in knee-deep water.
Who those you are not enthusiastic of getting into the water, the cabanas at the resort allow you to chill and read a book, while the hotel serves you cocktails and Konkan delicacies of your choice.
One can also avail a spa session to relax themselves.
It is a must visit for every travel enthusiast!
