Ganging up on Gaeng Gai

When I explain that I was a chef for 25 years I hope you will forgive me if I can get a bit obsessive about food. On a recent holiday to Thailand with my beautiful wife (who is also a chef) and my daughter(who is also beautiful) I became obsessed with finding the perfect Thai green chicken curry.
How do you compare the refined luxury of Chef Tussanee Putakaew's version at Shangrila Bangkok's Salathip restaurant with the more rustic but equally passionate versions found in somewhere like Sukhamvit soi 38.
The short answer is you don't both are delicious in their .own way.
Enjoying a cocktail overlooking the Chao Phraya river back home at the Shangrila I wonder where my obsessions will take me tomorrow.
Maybe Mango and Sticky rice .....yum
