Joerg Meyer of award-winning Le Lion Bar De Paris concocts classic cocktails at Lobster Bar and Grill.
Lobster Bar and Grill at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong welcomes Joerg Meyer from award-winning Le Lion Bar de Paris in Hamburg, Germany from 10 to 14 June 2014. Apart from managing two successful bars in Germany, he is a respected bar industry consultant and a keynote speaker on entrepreneurship, bartending and drinks history. He is also a member of national and international juries for the Bacardi Legacy and Diageo World Class bartending competition.
For five days, Joerg will serve a series of his classic and sophisticated cocktails while a variety of jazz repertoires will be played to accompany the ingenious concoctions inspired by each theme.
1940’s Night (10 June 2014) – Mingle over classic cocktails with a twist and Joerg’s modern take on The Santa Marta and The Sloppy Joe’s Mojito while listening to rhythmic tunes of Afro-Cuban jazz and acid jazz.
Parisian Night (11 to 12 June 2014) – Take a trip to Le Lion Bar de Paris and sip on Joerg’s signature drink, the Gin Basil Smash and Padovani. Smooth beats of Chicago jazz and urban blues complete the vibe.
The Golden Age of Cocktails (13 to 14 June 2014) – Lobster Bar and Grill winds the clock back to when the Ramos Gin Fizz and Whiskey Smash were at their peak. With a soundtrack of vintage, uncut soul and jazz funk, this night takes its inspiration from the booming drink scenes of the Baroque and Classic eras.
