Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou presents its first themed cultural tour package, Exploring Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, featuring a customised tour of heritage highlights and architectural sites. Valid until 31 December 2012, guests can select from three themed routes comprising ancient lanes, architecture or former residences.
Fuzhou, known as the city of banyan trees, has a pristine landscape and a number of heritage sites in town. The Three Lanes and Seven Alleys package exemplifies the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Comprising Wenru, Yijin and Guanlu lanes to the west and Yangqiao, Anmin, Langguan, Ta, Huang, Gong and Jibi alleys to the east, the historical complex was built almost 1,000 years ago and designed according to the ancient Chinese Li-Fang street system. Each lane has a special name based on its unique history and story.
