New Shangri-La iPhone App

Shangri-La’s world-renowned luxury hospitality can now be accessed with the touch of a button. The launch of its first smartphone application for Apple iPhone encompasses all the website functions, in addition to exciting new enhancements. Planning your next getaway will be a breeze with essential information at your fingertips, wherever in the world you may be. The app is available for download in either English or Simplified Chinese, and iPad, Android and Blackberry versions are already currently under development.  

The mobile app allows you to explore, book, view and edit room reservations at more than 70 Shangri-La, Traders and Kerry hotels. Using GPS technology, the app provides updates on location-based offers at specific hotels, and connects members to the nearest international toll-free numbers for 24/7 customer support. Golden Circle members can manage their accounts, check and balance GC Award Points, and redeem points for complimentary stays and CHI, The Spa vouchers anytime.

To celebrate the launch of the new Shangri-La iPhone App, you can win fabulous prizes by recording your unforgettable journeys. From 7 August to 15 October 2012, we will select the two best travel submissions in English and Chinese every week, over the next 10 weeks. These 20 lucky winners will enjoy a luxurious three-night stay in a suite at any Shangri-La hotel or resort of their choice.

The app experience will continue to evolve with new and improved features. Golden Circle members will eventually be able to retrieve room messages, set wake-up calls, request turndowns and luggage service and review folios and hotel directories. The next stage of the app development will facilitate ordering in-room dining, table reservations at hotel restaurants, in addition to local weather and airline arrival and departure status updates.
