Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, Kota Kinabalu unveils refurbished Garden Wing
Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, Kota Kinabalu, recently completed a US$20 million refurbishment of the 326 guestrooms and public areas in the Garden Wing. The lobby had its first major refurbishment to maximise the space of its carefully designed interior. Guests can expect a renewed sense of comfort and luxury in the upgraded rooms, which combine traditional local touches with modern facilities.
The fitness centre has been given a more spacious workout area in which to house its state-of-the-art equipment, overlooking the hotel’s garden landscape. The poolside area has also been refurbished, and guests can enjoy new lounge deckchairs and daybeds, perched on newly built wooden platforms facing either the swimming pool or the South China Sea. To enhance the aquatic experience, a 40-foot, “double-s” pool slide provides extra splash, adding to the resort’s activities for the whole family. The open-air seating at the coffee house has been extended with a water garden offering views of the sea and swimming area.
