A Royal Retreat
With Royal Wedding fever still high, UK Golden Circle members enjoyed an exclusive visit to Highgrove House...
The Royal wedding may be over but the UK offers a plethora of ways to discover the royal family and in September, UK-based Diamond Golden Circle members were treated to a uniquely regal experience. The members were invited on an exclusive visit to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, the family home of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, where they enjoyed the rare opportunity to explore the house and surrounding gardens. As a keen gardener, the Prince of Wales has devoted much time to planning and designing the gardens, which are not normally accessible to the public.
The day started with an early breakfast at Mosimann’s in London - one of the most prestigious private dining clubs in the world – and after arriving at Highgrove House, members were treated to a tour of the estate’s gardens, led by one of his Royal Highness's Garden Guides. The gardens are an impressive two miles long, featuring fruit trees, topiary and seasonal flowers, with Pelargoniums and Hydrangeas a particular highlight at this time of year. A delicious champagne luncheon was served at Mosimann’s after the outing as stories and memories were swapped.
